
I’ve tried using this plastic grub + jig to see if I can catch anything bigger than the typical bluegill I catch out at lakes and ponds near my area roughly about 3-4 different times but I just haven’t had any luck. I’ve tried having it at the end of my line and a bit above my line with a weight at the very bottom but still no luck. Do fish really bite at this or is it just a luck thing @.@.
Note: the hook just recently got bent right before I took this photo, the hook was in fine condition on all prior attempts. Got it stuck on some rocks so I gotta re bait it with another hook.

Yeah but it’s rare for bluegill or crappie to bite a jig that large, you can catch bass on that however.
Those work wonders for me in our local river. Rock Bass and Smallies always go for it in my experience
