Is this kind of "long john" design good for kayaking, or will it chaff around the arms?
A neoprene jacket can be added over it to complete the full suit. They have a reinforced material on the butt. I move by paddling and use a sit-on-top on the Cantabric sea (Atlantic ocean temperatures).
I thought this could cover autumn weather, colder summer days, hotter winter days…play a bit with the top part with t-shirts, jackets, etc.
But I prefer to hear from more experienced people. Maybe a 1 piece full body suit is better.
I used to scuba dive and have a trilaminate suit that should fit me by end of year. I was thinking to try using that suit for colder weather, unless kayaking drysuits have something special that makes a scuba one worthless for kayaking.
