Looking to get my first lure rod and reel (UK)

I usually fish canals sometimes lakes and ponds for camping, I want to try lure fishing since there's a ton of pike and perch here. Would this be appropriate? Not in stock at the minute so I've not ordered yet but really thinking about it, although I've scoured about the Internet for a bit more information or videos about it and nothing has come up.
Open to reccomendations and suggestions on what I should get, im just making a list for now.
