Trying to figure out how to set mine up. I have the GLS-10 in the front hatch. Currently the livescope wire runs through the hull to the GLS. I’m trying to eliminate any damage during transport and to prevent any theft. I’m assuming there’s no quick disconnect option for the livescope wire. I’m running a Hobie Outback.

I keep my livescope on my kayak and I remove my finder.
I only remove for ice season.
It is secured to my kayak with the pole mount and a bungee cord so it does move while I’m driving.
One of the main reasons why I’m kayak fishing is the simplicity of it. This is a level of complexity that would take some of that satisfaction away, for me. But if it tickles your fancy, I wish you good success with your project, even though I have no advice to offer.
