Daiwa Crossfire 3000 on a 7ft Medium-Light Ugly Stik

First time putting fresh line on a reel was pretty intimidating but I think I did okay!

  1. Love cork handles. They remind me of my childhood. My dad had custom made poles with for all of us with our names on them. They all had cork handles.

The open-face spinning reel was the smartest and most versatile decision. Good on ya. Tight lines…..

  3. Should be ok so long as you run 10 pound line. Daiwa website says the 3000 is a heavy reel freshwater and is good for 10-12 pound line (the 2000 is considered ML) but the Ugly Stik website says the rod you have is rated for 4-10 pound line so you likely wont notice anything unusual. Both are good products and should last you a long time with proper care.
