What’s the coolest non fish thing you’ve caught while fishing? Look what my son caught!

Took my son out to knock the dust off our steelhead and salmon float gear the other night when he hooked what he thought was a stick…… then he realised the stick had cicles on it! Then we saw the reel!

Turned out to be a Berkley Lightning and what we beleive to be a Diawa Preisdent….. this combo is worth well over $100 Canadian! Oh and it has a $2 spoon on the end lol.

Now the work begins getting all the algae off it and out of the cork

    Ive caught the back end of a moped, with license plate that i still use on my faster moped to evade police!

    Caught 2 of my old reels I lost and I use them heavily now. Caught someone else’s combo with a small catfish. Caught a zebra muscle. And the nastiest by far, caught a shoe

    I have that same reel, Daiwa procyon. It’ll probably clean up great, somebody lost expensive reel!

    I caught an unopened can of PBR that had to be many years old on a whopper Plopper in Worster lake in Indiana once.

    And then a lime bike in the Saint Joe river in Indiana

    2 years ago, I was fishing in a river with a buddy and caught a small crayfish (with my hands, not on my line).

    Today, he is reigns as king of his tank. He helps keep my guppy population under control, and whenever he sees me, he runs up to the glass like a little water puppy.

    I was fishing Smallies in a popular stream for float trips and caught one of those waterproof phone cases with a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and $383 cash.

    It’s a great reel. I use my Procyon still. But I caught a lewd combo that I lost a few months prior in the same pond.

    My abugarcia 90$ combo is on the bottom of the fox river somewhere in Illinois still mad at myself for losing it same with a cheaper 13 fishing reel and rod combo dropped it out my bag.i do not have good luck when it comes to fishing rods.

    Rayna sunglasses by far. Rocked them for a year before I lost em and someone else got to where them.

    We were on lake erie for a walleye charter and my brother in law caught a fishing pole that still had a large sheephead on it. Our captain said he recognized the rod as his buddies and when we moved we found him and he tossed him his pole

    my girlfriend and I were fishing, I was reeling in through some reeds when I noticed a frog leapt after my lure. my girlfriend noticed and decided she was going to catch that frog… sure enough a minute later with nothing but a micro crankbait she got him and reeled him up.

    I have a lamp dedicated to non fishing things that i hooked.
    Most crazy is a childerens gasmask
    For the rest a whole bunch of restaurant menus, rusted lures, a hat and a pink blowup guitar

    Also caught multiple rods but never kept those
