I mainly use Carolina Rig for surf perch here in North Cal (Bay Area). During the start of the session I don't have issue with line twisting, but around an hr in or so, depending on the coarseness of the sand, my swivel would get filled with sand and the leader would twist like crazy. Bigger swivels do help a bit, but still need some manual twisting to get the sand out. Am I the only person having this issue or am I using the wrong type swivels? I stopped using the type from the pic as it is impossible to clear once filled with fine sand.
