Hey yall. Just looking to get some opinions on this. I’m a shorter guy so 6’ towers over me. The reel is a 3000 size reel. Mostly going to be my main rod fishing for bass and other pond/lake fish.

I would get a 7 foot rod instead in-case you hook a solid bass. 7 foot medium fast

I would get a 7 foot rod, it’s the all around multipurpose size for fishing rods. 7 foot gives you more casting distance which is important if you fish from the bank, you will find yourself limited with the 6 foot unless you are fishing from a kayak or something and need something easier to control. The rod length relative to your height doesn’t matter. Also I wouldn’t buy a bass pro branded rod, look at daiwas rods, abu garcia rods, any higher end manufacturer that makes bass specific spinning rods. I’ve never had good experience with store brands.
I have a Shimano Sedona, smooth as butter. Highly recommend!
