New to this, any advice on how to take proper pics for ID, and or resources to learn ID myself would be greatly appreciated. Curious what this could be, all I’ve gotten using inaturalist was “true minnow”.

Common Shiner. You can tell based on the shape of the head, scale shape, and size of the fish. Common shiners are very similar to striped shiners but luckily MA does not have any.
