Moving to Louisiana switching from bass on the flies to red drum, the two reels are a 8wt tfo nxt on a nxt rod and the second is a lamson spey reel on a reddington dually (11ft8wt
) and im needing to know if those are good or to small for smaller reds

They should be fine, 9ft 8wt is a pretty standard inland salt outfit. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse everything with freshwater to get the salt off after each outing.
