Ok so my sister (10) told me and my brother that she wants to start going fishing with us and we’re looking at what type of rod and reel to get her nothing too complicated like a baitcaster. The options are either a Spincast reel or a spinning reel. Me and my brother are arguing on which type to get her I’m saying get her a Spincast since they are cheap and easy to use and its the type of reel me and my brother started on but my brother is saying to get her a spinning reel because they are better. So if any experienced anglers could weigh in and help that would be great

Always been more of a fan for spinning reels especially for starting out. A lot is just personal preference tho. Good on you for trying to get her into it! I suggest just buying whatever is cheap and see if she likes it
