I recently bought a new spinning reel but every time i try and wrap the line around the line roller the line pops off instantly. I am extremely confused. Is my roller supposed to be angled like that? Thank you!

Your bail is in the open position for casting. The line needs to be under the roller when the bail is down in the closed position.
