I think it’s the Brown other people think this is a Brooke. I didn’t see a Brook all day and caught predominantly all browns.

  1. Char, such as the brook trout shown here, have light markings on a dark background. Brookies often have red spots with blue haloes.

    Browns have dark markings on a light background. Spots are black and red without any blue around the red. Red spots are not guaranteed.

    There’s probably a picture ID guide in your regulations booklet. Worth your time to look at.

    That’s a cute little brookie! We got skunked on the Yellowstone today…89 to pig farm…the trees are starting to turn yellow💛
