Hooked into only about a 4 pound cat 2 days ago. Not sure what I did wrong, but I had the drag set as loose as it would go. I had him at the boat and was getting him in the net when all of a sudden…SNAP!!
I loved this rod especially for blue gill fishing! I guess I need something just a slight bit stronger.Just in case this happens again. Any suggestions?

Some shops will warranty out the rod for you. Or just hit up Diawa for warranty, chop it up and send it yourself

High sticking? Happens a lot boat side with flips and netting. Rod angle goes high and people grip the rod vs the grips.
Nicer and lighter rods are more prone to it then heavier glass rods.
