Got a Diawa Tatula casting rod for my birthday back in April. They were offering a mail-in rebate for a free sun hoodie. I shipped off the form with the check for shipping in May and received the confirmation, but I’ve never gotten the shirt. Considering it was five dollars I’m not super pressed about it and I figured it would take a while to get shipped, but did anyone else try doing this rebate and not receive anything?

What did they say when you called them?
I’m in the same boat, waiting on three shirts. I talked to Daiwa about six weeks ago. In a nutshell:
There was a much larger response to the offer than they had anticipated, and they ran out of shirts. They placed a new order for shirts, and I could either choose to have the old style shirt shipped to me, or wait on the shipment of new shirts. I’m still waiting…
To top it off, confirmation emails got the sizing wrong (2 for my son, 1 for me) so we’ll see if that correction actually gets fixed or not.
There was a delay in July, when they were originally supposed to go out. Not sure what the reason is now, but I’d bet it’s another delay or tariff related. You might be able to call or email them to inquire about it. If you do, report back and let us know. 😀
