Howdy. I've been wanting to get into fishing for a bit as a new hobby and was hoping to get some thoughts on my choices for a rod. I'm trying to keep it under $50 but so far I've narrowed it down to these three. I was told to get a medium rod and was looking up "medium" or "medium heavy" and saw these three.
The Wakeman 65-Inch Fiberglass Fishing Pole with Size 20 Spinning Reel, Black
And finally the Berkley Fusion Spinning Combo, 7' Medium Heavy Fishing Rod, 60 Size Reel
Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming you are going to be bass fishing, take a look at the Okuma CX Spinning combo on sale for $53 on Sportsman’s Warehouse website. It will be a higher quality combo than the ones you linked. The Abu Garcia Max X combo is frequently on sale at Walmart for ~$35 as well!
