Recently noticed some fraying on NRS tie down straps. I've only used them about a dozen times, so when I saw this I reached out to NRS to ask for a replacement.
They claim that this is due to "strap thrum" because the straps were not twisted enough and are refusing to replace them. I twist straps when I tie my kayak down to the roof, but there are some areas where they need to lie flat so I'm not really sure what they expect.
Do y'all think I'm justified in asking for a replacement here?

I got some bison straps off of Amazon and they’ve been working great for me. They come with a lifetime warranty too
What’s a load of bull. Thrum. My Thule straps are a decade old with untold hundreds miles on them, sometimes twisted, sometimes not, and they still look great
That’s wild I have some straps over 8 years old and are just about ready to be replaced
