Title says it all. I just put braid on my spinning reel, but because of the way the bail deposited the string, it caused it to be way too wide at the top. I went slow and maintained steady pressure but it's like it just wrapped around the top twice. Thanks in advance!

Itās ok.. honestly I personally would have recommended upgrading your reel before getting braid personally. But I hate braid.
You must make sure your bail roller is exactly inline with where your line is winding on the spool..If its not ,especially with braid or Heavy mono every wrap is stacking on top 1 and 1/2 or more wrapsĀ where it started ,becauseĀ your bail is not oscillating correctly in relation to your spool.Ā
