I've been noticing since yesterday a grinding feeling when reeling in my line. Also looks like my line is getting abraded. I looked at my rod tip and sure enough it has a notch cut into it. How does this kind of damage even happen? Rod isn't even a month old yet. Oh well, time for a new one I guess.

I’d be curious if it was there all along. I believe you can change those inserts out and be good to go. Never did one myself but I’m sure it’s a YouTube vid or local shop from being good to go
