Caught this one earlier today in the LA River right by my house and once I pulled him out I instantly noticed something odd. š I don't ever carp fish (caught carp, large mouth bass, blue gill, bullhead and channel cat here today), mainly went today since it's so close and I haven't fished here in a little over 6 months. No flash was used for this photo and it was an overcast day so no shadows affecting the visual appearance of the carp in the photo! Is this rare to see a carp that is literally one color in the front end and a different color in the back end?
