I’ve seen this rig before but my baits keep tearing. I have 4 and 5 inch fluke or swim bait paddle tails and when I screw the head in I can’t seem to get the hook in to the body without it tearing.
Am I using the wrong size? Hooks are 3/0 and 4/0

Thread the coil all the way on so the nose of the fluke touches the hook eyelet. Also ur swim baits upside down I think. But your Texas rig looks solid
Nope. For rigging fluke style soft plastics the bend of the hook is supposed to go into the belly slit of the bait, and the hook point should be sticking out of the bait’s spine.
