I bought the fs9 for the helm of my bass boat. Buuuut I didn’t install it. How is the best way to use it under the ice?
I’m thinking of making an articulating mount for the transducer (the long 3-in-1 ducer) so it can get under the ice and remain level.
I’m curious if I could use it in the side scan mode and monitor two holes. Any input is appreciated. Tight lines!

You can buy their ice ducer which is what I would recommend. Then you can use that as a traditional flasher. I’m a big Lowrance fan, but unfortunately it doesn’t compare to Garmin. I can’t barely see my jig on the Lowrance past 100ft, but in my buddies garmin we can zoom in to the bottom 5ft even at 150ft and still see.
The really best option is to save up and get Active Target for it. Great for ice fishing as well as summer of course.
