I retired this pair of waders roughly a year ago due to these leaks. Never bothered to actually find the leaks until now, as my dad wants to get out fishing and doesn’t have a pair himself.

I’d love to save some money and just patch these up for him if it’s possible, but I’ve always heard it’s tricky around the wader/bootie seam. One leak is right around the seam where the neoprene stocking/booties start, the other is on the neoprene foot itself at a seam. Are these feasibly repaired with aqua seal or a patch? I’m sure I could get it to be watertight immediately, but I’m curious of anyone here has experience with the long-term durability of this kind of repair. Thanks for any advice in advance 🙂

  1. Aquaseal FD (on the inside)will take care of the leaks even on the seams. I haven’t had an Aquaseal repair spring a leak yet.
