In some stream/river with lots of decently small bass running through it. It’s worked a few times I just wanna know how to optimize it

  1. If in a shallow river or stream, a square bill crank bait would be more ideal. Why you’ve posted is a deep diver.

Cast and retrieve. Vary speeds. Pause for a second. Bounce it off of of shallow rocks and cover and the bass will react instantly and eat them, whether they want to or not. It’s just instinctual.

  2. Just reel. Change tempo and cadence sometimes. Throw it back out. Repeat. Maybe jerk it a few times this time. Repeat. Win.
