My son and I just got into fishing and have currently been using his cheap Zebco push button. I’m looking to get a spinning reel combo for myself (I’m not ready for a baitcaster just yet). What spinning reel combo would you recommend for pond fishing, mainly bass, max probably in the 5-7 pound range. I’d like to buy off the shelf, so I was looking at these two at my local Cabela’s. Thoughts on which one? Stay away from both? Looking to stay in the under $100 range (unless a little more gets me something a lot better).
