I know the senko will pop us at the best bait, but for me this bluegill crankbait is my bread and butter. I'vepulled in more bass with this lure than any other one. Preferably with rattles, but even without it does great. Whats your choice of bait?

Springtime was a vibrax minnow spin vms-09 in baby bass color for me. It’s an oldie though, haven’t been made in decades, but are available on eBay.
Summer was an old school lipless rattle trap in baby bass or a shallow shadbrap in bluegill.
Lately it’s been a Yo-zuri 3DB lipless crank.
I fish fast and primarily use search bait options but chatterbaits and spinners haven’t been doing it for me. I bank fish so I look for castability and speed to move around the lake.
Recently picked up two 6th Sense quake 80 suspending lipless (lakes I fish are fairly shallow with snaggy bottoms so the suspending was an interesting idea – don’t have a lot of opportunity to do anything but rip them in to keep them from getting snagged), and while I haven’t had much time with them they haven’t been producing at all.
Rapala f7 and flicker shad for actually lures but also hellgrammite on a ball jig
I will agree with you. As an experiment we fished that color pattern a lot over the summer and caught a lot of fish.
