New to the hard swimbait game and i picked up this Spro Swimbait Shad 40 from TW. It has this long thread coming out the dorsal fin, feels almost like 20# braid. It won't come out with light tugging.
Is it supposed to be there? Manufacturing defect I can cut off? Did i get a used and returned lure? What do you think?

To imitate the dorsal filament on threadfin shad. You can cut it off if you want, I’m sure it won’t make a difference, but it is supposed to be there.
