Ok , I went with the Shimano SLX DC, paired with the Bass Pro “Pro Qualifier”, as for storage reasons I need a 2-piece rod. Medium heavy, 7 ft.
Overall, it went pretty well! The only problem I really had was switching to a light lure. When I threw bladed swimjigs, Chatterbait, and Choppos, it wasn’t too bad. I tried a lightweight floating crank bait and I was gifted with a 10 minute puzzle of line that wasted 1/3 of my new line lol.
Any suggestions for switching g types of lures like that? Thanks again!

Your line should not be going over that bar. There is a line guide below that that you thread the line through
