I recently purchased a "giant* female betta from King Koi Goldish. The originally ordered female was cancelled due to being " unfit" for transportation. So I got an email from them and was given the option to get a refund or choose a different one from their catalogue, I thought she was female, but she's behaving like a male, fins put, and has a beard, but I think I see the egg spot.

Male, the body cavity shape is rounded. Females have a triangular ovary shape down the side of their bodies, best seen from being backlit by light if possible.

young males can have egg spots, and some adult males even keep them for their whole lives. females can also have long fins sometimes, but this does look more maleish to me.
i say male because of the longish ventral fins, long dorsal fin, and low hanging anal fin. even long finned females tend to have shorter ventral, dorsal, anal fins.
also that round belly, high back and curved forehead
A picture from below would help to spot the egg spot. Else the flair says male
Also, males flare more aggressively to flaring sticks
