Caught in MO in a state park where they stock everything. Fish here in between grinding our blue ribbon streams and have never caught a weird one from there let alone like this. Way oranger than the pictures do it justice.

Is the water pretty tannin stained?
If it’s root beer colored, it’ll bring out some really interesting copper colors out of fish.

Weird colors yes — also very likely hybrid with a Cutthroat variant. ***If you see the escalating size and density of spots towards the tail it’s a dead giveaway there is cutthroat trout in the genetics.*** Great catch and beautiful fish! Congrats!
