Looking back, I was very silly on thinking the reason why I couldn’t catch a fish was that because I didn’t have enough resources and flies. And that was false, I spent hundreds of dollars onto buying flies and stuff I didn’t need and using 6x-7x tippet in situations I didn’t even need. Now I realized, presentations is the most important if not the key to fly fishing. Why I couldn’t catch fish consistently was because my mending skill sucks, and my flies aren’t in the strike area. I was so focused on the gears, I didn’t even think about the fundamentals of fly fishing. Hopefully new comers will see this post and don’t do the mistake I did, and not spend unnecessary money thinking it will get more fish in the net. All you need to do is MENDS MENDS MENDS! Also your nymphs aren’t deep enough in the strike zone.
