I know it's an older G Loomis, and what I could find seemed to suggest it was a crank bait rod. The thing I find weird is the full cork handle which I know means I'll need to tape a reel on. The guides also seem bigger so would this be for a spinning reel or baitcaster?

Ok, so I could be wrong but I think this is called a Tennessee grip? I have an old custom rod my granddad gave me that is similar and when googling questions about it that’s what I got. I’m going to follow this now that I’m vested
