I’m thinking of adding braid to my Ugly Stik GX2. When adding braided line, does my braid and leader have to be the same test? Let’s say I add 8lb test braid does it have to match my 8lb test mono leader? Or can I use like a 10-15 pound test for that 8lb leader? (Sorry I’m new to this) Thank you.

I think with braid do you want to make sure it’s the same diameter is what you’re replacing it with. So the weight might be a heavier poundage but as long as it’s the same diameter, you’ll be good I believe.
