I’m trying a hookless presentation and just started fishing with artificial lures. Does this look about right ?

  1. The hook is way to big. U can either size down on the hook or throw it on a Ned or jig head tbh or Dropshot

No, that won’t really have any action. Bass hit anything, so it’ll still “work,” but you would want to have this bait on a small light jighead like a ned rig

  3. Those would work on something like a zman bullet widegap that hook is too big there would be no action. Just bouncing a hook. Look into finesse fishing for smaller baits.

  4. You can rig them that way, but it’s not the typical direction. Remember that crawdad swim backwards when startled. Also, definitely a couple sizes too big for the hook.

Looks like it’s rigged backwards to me. Craws swim ass-first. Hook is also significantly larger than what you need; I’d probably come down two or three sizes.

It looks like you may have rigged it backward. Generally speaking, the claws you to the end of the hook with the point. Beyond that, your hook is a couple sizes too big for that bait.a smaller hook would allow the bait to have more action because part of it would be free of being stretched on the hook and would move more naturally. Also, that will tear pretty quickly.
