A few weeks ago I posted about how I just couldn't figure out Senkos and get them to work. Today I gave them another shot and used a weightless Texas rigged 5" senko in the rainbow trout pattern color and caught 3 good bass on a shallow pond that I usually catch none in. The biggest help from my earlier post was that "they work for you, you don't work for them (Senkos)" and the rainbow trout pattern. These both helped me with my presentation and thinking of the worm as a dying bait fish immigration. I'm now much more confident in this technique both in presentation and hook setting (I missed zero bites and landed everything that nibbled) and the weightless Texas rig senkos will definitely enter my rotation of known reliable lures.

  1. Don’t know why the other pics didn’t load but my largest was a nice 16″ bass, this was one of the smaller ones I caught.
