In the river valley of Arkansas, my family have private land with a natural pond, creek fed. It was stocked in the 90s and that's about it. No fish feed or anything like that, we gave it a good bio diversity and left it at that.

Haven't fished in a few years, but this year the bug bit me HARD. All I ever got bites on were spinner baits and jointed rapalas. For some reason I've really wanted to master jigs. Watching videos about it lead my to learning about chatterbaits as well. Been trying all summer different techniques but I guess a combo of bad finishing conditions and poor technique. Today it all came together. Grabbed my fishing buddy and showed him our pond. We both broke our summer long streak of getting skunked at local lakes and ponds. Mostly dinks, couple pound and a halfs. All my bites were on my jig and and a chatterbait. I'm tickled pink over that.

A good fish from our pond would be 3 pounds. This year we are catching them at 4 and 5 pounds. Today I caught my biggest bass at 6.2 pounds!
