I’ve been developing a pair of heated boots called FuturaHeat-Nova over the past two years, mainly for people who spend long hours outdoors in extreme cold.

They use a semiconductor heating system built into the forefoot area and are powered by a 5000mAh lithium battery that lasts about 6 to 14 hours, depending on the heat level. The temperature range is designed for 0°C to -40°C.

The boots have a cowhide leather upper with a PU coating, a plush lining for insulation, and an EVA cushioned midsole for comfort. Each boot weighs around 360 grams (EU 41, excluding the battery).

I’m curious if anyone here thinks heated footwear like this would actually make a difference for ice fishing comfort, or if most of you rely on layering and insulated boots instead.
