My line will sometimes slip out from the spool and get wrapped up near the top and I don’t know how it keeps happening? The section of line that comes out is from deep in the spool, and I have to pull out quite a bit of extra line out after casting again to reach the spot in order fix it.

I don’t know why that is happening, but you need A LOT more line on that spool.
That happens because you need to pull the line tight after casting.
Open bail, cast, close bail with your hand, pull the line tight. Then start working the lure.
Also, you definitely need more line. 100s of posts for reference of right and wrong line filling.
Line amount isnt the problem. Its probably poor line. Or poor reel.
Not an expert. Fished for 20 years though.
It happens once in a while for me aswell. Im using an okuma epixor xt 30s with sick braid 0.10mm.
It exclusively happens with fireline or braided…
