I’ve had a couple fish break the line and I’m not sure if the line is too weak or if I’m tying bad knots. The break off from the picture happened just when casting a heavy-ish lure.
I’ve also caught plenty of fish with the same knot no problem. I’m using an improved clinch knot on 8lb mono, fishing for large mouths.

I bet its how you’re tying the knott. Try the Uni instead.
My clinch/improved clinch knots used to fail sometimes too. Switched to palomar knot and never had one fail ever.
Try a polmar knot super easy to tie and will take down a tree if you grt snagged
