My betta, Bramble jumped out the tank last night while i was asleep. When i woke up and turned the tank lights on, he wasn’t there but i assumed he must’ve just been hiding somewhere so i didn’t worry too much.
I would’ve looked more but couldn’t since i had to head to school.
After over 6 hours, i got back, and there was no sign of him after looking in the tank so i braced myself for the worst and started looking around my tank trying to find what i thought would be a dead fish… But i almost didn’t spot him when i looked into my bucket, but when i turned my flashlight on, lo and behold he was there, and somehow alive in a tiny bit of water at the bottom of the bucket.
I scooped him up and placed him back in the tank and hes back to swimming around- somehow!
Ive 100% learnt my lesson on thinking my betta would be the exemption and i wouldn’t need a lid… i will DEFINITELY have the lid on from now on.
