Looking at upgrading my gear soon currently running the rod and reel in picture and nort sure where to go from there budget of around £100 or so

The only way that’s an upgrade is if you’re currently using a stick with a string tied to it. Saltwater is hard on gear in general, and very hard on cheap gear. That setup is absolute bottom-of-the-barrel junk and a waste of money. My advice would be to get your hands on another $100 or euros whatever and get something decent that will last a while. As far as longevity goes, the reel is far more important than the rod, so that’s where the bulk of the budget should go.

Kast king is cheap and decent quality for the price but won’t last as long as a premium brand

Seams like the Penn pursuit combo has been on sale here in the states for awhile also see the red one maybe the Penn fierce combo close enough to that hundred dollar mark. The pursuit combo I’ve seen for about 60
