Its been exactly one month since I introduced the Dimis to their 55g home. I wish I could say they’ve really come out of their shell, or had a massive glowup or something like that, but they came out of the shipping box without any fear at all, so not much has changed, aside from them getting used to my routines (and learning how to beg)
The original plan for the tank was to be a full blackwater selangor biotope, stocked with a spiny eel, chocolate gourami, coccina bettas, and licorice gouramis. But in my research, one crucial fact disrupted all of that: Dimidiata are cute.
Currently it is stocked with 6 betta dimidiata (3m, 3f), a parosphromenus nagyi pair, and 2 akysis vespa catfish, and aside from wanting to eventually get the paros out into their own tank, to focus on breeding, I think its complete.
