The fish was moved from a 1gal to a 5gal tank on Saturday (today is Tuesday). The water has been fine until today. The fish ate flakes this morning and about two or three hours later I found him face down in the gravel not moving. I put him in the cup and saw him twitch a bit. The water was a bit yellow at first from the log and I changed about half the tank’s water after I found him. The test strips are from left to right, left being when I found him, right being a few minutes ago. There’s a heater and air pump with sponge filter too. There’s water has been between 75-80° F

Where is the sponge filter? Can you show a photo?

Those strips don’t detect ammonia. If the tank is very new you may have a buildup of ammonia, which isn’t getting converted to nitrite/nitrate because the bacteria that convert ammonia to nitrite are not numerous enough yet. They are slow growers.

You should do a 50% water change ASAP and continue doing so at least every other day for at least a week. If you start to see nitrite in a few days, then you’ll know this was probably due to ammonia.

Just to check, you are dechlorinating your water, right?
