White bass, also known as sand bass (or sandy) down here in the south. One of my favorite fish to catch, they fight so strong for their size and they run in large schools, so when you catch one, you can catch a BUNCH if you stay on them. They are always chasing shad schools so they are always on the move. Pretty good eating too! Just make sure you flip the fillet over and cut off the red stripe.
