You don’t need a 6k a 5 is more than enough
6000 is huge… unless you plan to haul in a lot of very huge fish, that is overkill. And I think it is too big for a 7’MH rod also… you’d generally want to pair a ~3000 reel with a rod that size.
I love the reel, but not the rod. Nothing against Ugly Stix, but they’re heavy and not very sensitive, two things you don’t want your rod be. You’re going to be fighting big fish and you don’t want to be holding the equivalent of a big baseball bat.
