Yes, whether I’m using a fluke or a jerk shad (Zman). I don’t notice a difference between the two on a bladed jig.

Yes I tend to do it often when I’m using a larger plastic as trailers or if the jig head has big “ baitholders “ that will rip up the plastic! Super common

One of the nice things about fishing with soft plastics often is that when they get too torn up to use on their own often they can be cut up and used as a trailer on a jig like that
