I'm downsizing, found this lure in a rat's nest of old lines and leaders at the bottom of a retired tackle box. I don't fish anymore but in the early '80's I inherited a huge cache of fishing gear from a Maine Guides elderly widow. Google tells me this is a coveted wooden Heddon Dowagiac, complete with glass eyes. I've long since lost the box and it's in really tough condition. Does it still have much value to collectors? Should I clean it or is that a bad thing like in vintage coins?

  1. omg my grandpa used to talk about those heddon lures! def don’t clean it, collectors usually prefer the original patina even if it’s beat up a bit.
