This tank is getting cycled for my Betta, it's still in the beginning stages so it needs more plants and hiding spots but I added a filter and an air stone. I know they can't have strong streams so I was wondering if this is okay.

That is strong..
I’m not no expert but at one point I realized my betta wouldn’t swim to where the hob filter was and realized it might have been too strong. I adjusted it and he seems more on that side of the tank. Maybe see if the betta is comfortable with the flow.
If it’s only the surface movement that is strong and the actual current underwater is calm/low then it’s okay. Check the actual current.
