Pailam has rarely flaired in all the time ive had him, to the point where last time he flaired over a month ago i noticed it was extremely weak and lopsided. ive tried mirrors and hes in a tank with 2 reflective sides, but he never flairs at his reflection. he used to flair at snails but once he got used to them he quit. ive even gotten little 3d printed betta heads to stick on the end of a pencil or my finger to see if hell flair, but hes never cared for those. hes super duper curious, extremely chill and friendly. ive been starting to worry about his weak flair recently… went to have a smoke, he got offended immediately. turns out hes passionately anti-smoking. silly me, why didnt i think of that sooner! 🤦 he will now be doing flair exercises 3 times a week with his most hated bic mini lighter to build those muscles. hes such an odd little man, love him to bits 🙂
