I put 20# braid on this reel using about 70’ of whatever was on there as backing (probably mono). I didn’t have any problems for weeks untill I got a snag, in the process of trying to get it out the tension dug into my spool (I should’ve taken a pic then). Eventually I wrapped the line around my can of bug spray to continue working the snag, once I got it free I tied on a heavier lure and cast it out repeatedly as far as I could but it’s not laying on the spool evenly and still binding a little, the pic is what it looks like now. I’ve only used braid before on heavy muskie setups and have never had this problem. Maybe I didn’t spool it on tight enough initially? Maybe I should’ve got out the bug spray can sooner but I didn’t really fight the snag for too long before I did. Any help is appreciated

Just needs to reset.
A few casts should slowly work it out, if not then tie off to something and walk back, then reel back tight.
dump the mono and use a piece of electrical tape instead.
